Mizzou Black Men's Initiative (MBMI) is a two-year leadership and identity development program provided by the Gaines/Oldham Black Culture Center. We understand that leaving home can be challenging, therefore, the purpose of the program is to assist in the successful transition of Black freshmen males into the collegiate environment.

If you are considering applying to the MBMI program, be sure that your class schedule will allow you to attend the fall semester class on Monday and Wednesday from 3 - 3:50 p.m. Note, submitting an application does not guarantee your spot in the program. If you have any questions about the MBMI program contact Donald D. Gilliam, Program Instructor for Mizzou Black Men's Initiative, at 573-882-2664 or GilliamDD@missouri.edu
