Mizzou Black Women's Initiative (MBWI) Application 2020-2021

Mizzou Black Women's Initiative (MBWI) is a one-year program provided by the Gaines/Oldham Black Culture Center (GOBCC). The purpose of MBWI is to equip Black female students with the appropriate tools to be successful leaders in their undergraduate careers and future endeavors. We plan to achieve this through our four operating pillars; Academic Readiness, Career Readiness, Establishing Community, and Identity Exploration.

If you are considering applying to the MBWI program, be sure that your class schedule will allow you to attend the fall semester class on Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00 - 1:50 p.m. Note, submitting an application does not guarantee your spot in the program. If you have any questions about the MBWI program contact Velma Buckner, Program Instructor for MBWI, at 573-882-2664 or BucknerV@missouri.edu
